Axia College falls under the umbrella of the University of Phoenix (UOP).
Originally established in 2004 under the University of Phoenix's sister school, Western International University, the combination of a high registration number and the potential for growth required a closer association with UOP in 2006.
Axia College is an online learning institution. It is geared toward students who also hold full time jobs, who need more flexibility in their learning schedule. More than one hundred thousand students currently attend Axia College.
