Rice University
Founded in 1912, Rice University is the oldest university in Houston. It’s known for its engineering and science programs and is highly ranked as a technical and mathematic school. Rice also has one of the largest endowments in the United States.

The University of Houston
With over 33,000 students, the University of Houston is massive and actually comprises four distinct universities – the University of Houston (UH) University Park, UH Downtown, UH Victoria and UH Clear Lake.
The University of Houston University Park is the oldest school in the University of Houston system and one of the biggest colleges in Houston, Texas. It’s home to over 30,000 students and offers over 291 programs and degrees.
