Colleges in PA:

Colleges in PA (Pennsylvania) to Fit Any Budget

No wonder colleges in PA are popular. The great state of Pennsylvania has a long and rich history. Named after William Penn, it was one of the “breadbasket” states in colonial times, and in the early days of the Union. Thanks to men like Benjamin Franklin, education was highly valued there. So, it is not without good reason that colleges in PA are many and varied.

High End Colleges in PA

Just to list the names of all the colleges in Pennsylvania would take a while; so let us focus on a representative cross-section. On the “high end” are places like Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg. It features seven colleges that cover everything from art to computer sciences, and it serves over 10,000 students. Of course, as colleges in PA go, it is rather expensive.

Got a More Modest Budget?

If you want to look at colleges in PA that are a bit more modest, there are schools like Bucks County Community College in Newton, or Butler County Community College in (naturally) Butler. These, and other smaller colleges, are fine institutions offering degrees in a wide variety of subjects. DeVry University has campuses in Fort Washington, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Valley Forge. It offers a variety of certificates and degrees in business, information technology, health care and more. One of the virtues of many colleges in PA is that they allow you to study either on campus or online. You can check them out at their web site: www.devry.edu.

Quite a Variety

Colleges in PA are as varied as they come. If architecture, CAD drafting or medical assistance is what you are interested in, try the Lincoln Technical Institute in Allentown. On the other hand, if business management, human resources, technology etc. are the areas you would like to focus on; there are Strayer University, and Villanova University.

Of course, you may want a career in some other field. Well, not to worry, the colleges in PA have got you covered. Interested in fashion? Have a look at Katharine Gibbs School. The Everest Institute offers degrees in criminal justice, among other subjects. These days just about everything has a computer chip in it, even toasters! So, learning about computer programming, servicing, and setting up networks can be a wise decision. The CHI Institute offers degrees in those subjects (among others), and is a fine school. And, of course, all these colleges in Pennsylvania have scholarship programs; so do not let price dissuade you from applying to the best of the best.

So, I think it is easy to see, even from this brief overview of colleges in PA that no matter what your financial circumstances, or your area of interest, you can find a college to suit your needs.
