Treasure Valley Community College is a part of the Oregon Community College system. Founded more than forty-five years ago and moved to its present location on College Blvd.

In Ontario, Oregon, in 1965, Treasure Valley Community College has more than 12,000 students each year.

Educational Programs

Treasure Valley Community College has more than twenty academic programs and departments.

Their programs range from adult education, community and continuing education and workforce training and education, to programs in computer science, nursing, business and science.

Offering traditional on-campus learning as well as distance learning, Treasure Valley Community College is accessible to anybody who is looking for a higher education.

They also offer some specialized programs targeted at very specific parts of the community.

BizCenter

The Treasure Valley Community College BizCenter is a small business development center. If you are thinking about starting a small business or expanding an all ready existing business, the TVCC BizCenter offers assistance and advice.

As a part of their assistance, the BizCenter offers affordable workshops and web courses.

There is also a library full of resource materials and programs that offer help writing business plans. Business advising services are free and totally confidential.

Building Construction Technologies at SRCI

A partnership of the Treasure Valley Community College and Snake River Correctional Institute, the Building Construction Technology program offers classes to inmates in construction scheduling and estimating, drywall, carpentry, framing, cabinetry and roofing, along with administrative courses like word processing, bookkeeping and accounting and employability and work maturity skills.

With more than 3,000 inmates, the Snake River Correctional Institute is the largest prison in Oregon.

In Oregon, inmates are required to be enrolled in on-the-job training or full-time work, and the Building Construction Technology program involves training and the building of homes, sheds, kitchen cabinets and even jewelry boxes.

WINGS

An acronym for Women Involved In Gaining Self-sufficiency, the WINGS program is targeted towards women who are looking to upgrade their skills and return to school. Although WINGS is primarily targeted at women, it is open to both women and men.

WINGS is essentially a college preparatory program for single parents (whether unmarried, separated, divorced or widowed) and displaced homemakers who require more education or the chance to update their skill set to find new employment.

Treasure Valley Community College is devoted to making education both an accessible and ongoing process for anybody interested in bettering their life.
